The objective of establishing the non-profit Canadian Landmine Detection Dogs Society is to purchase and train selected dogs to detect landmines and, upon completion of such training, provide said dogs to countries in need of this specialized service. Indigenous peoples will be trained to use the detection dogs to find and remove landmines from their countries soil in order to ensure a safe recovery of land for its designated purpose, i.e. farming, travel, residential occupation, schooling, or simply pleasure. |

Working through The Canadian Association for Mine and Explosive Ordnance Security (CAMEO) they have selected the southern-most part of Sudan as their area of concentration. The goal of the project is to raise $120,000 to initiate the demining work in Southern Sudan. |
